The Seville Cathedral (Catedral de Sevilla), officially known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, is one of Spain’s most important cultural and religious landmarks. History of Seville Cathedral

Seville Cathedral was built between the 15th and 16th centuries on the site of a former mosque. Its construction symbolized Seville’s wealth during Spain’s Golden Age, when the city was one of the most powerful trade centers in Europe.

One of its most iconic features, the Giralda Tower, was originally a 12th-century minaret from the Almohad dynasty.
