A Brief History
The museum was established by the Turkish Air Force (TUAF) as the second aviation museum in the country and officially opened its doors on 18 September 1998. The inauguration was honored by the presence of Sabiha Gökçen, Atatürk’s adopted daughter and the first Turkish female combat pilot – a legendary figure in aviation history.
